*SAGE UPDATE *PLEASE LIKE/SHARE/TAG/SUPPORT* Firstly, I'd like to thank the masses of you that have shared, supported and shown us love, it means more than you can ever know.. Sage has been granted an interim exemption. What does this mean? It means she can return home once she is spayed and live under the conditions of a banned breed (muzzle and lead in public etc) until her case goes to court. While this is a hugely positive update and is appreciated, it also speaks volumes about her condition, behaviour, training and myself as her owner. She and I are being trusted to remain together until her fate is decided. I don't know when she will come home, I'm not entitled to any information or updates with regards to her welfare and this is the part where we may need your help. I have contacted several charities and organisations, many have not responded, one larger one believes she does meet pitbull type based on some photos, so would have no intention of supporting us in trying to get this accusation overturned to give her the freedom she deserves In my own personal opinion, she vaguely falls somewhere between pitbull type and XL type, but does not fall consistently and sufficiently into either bracket. Upon her arrival home I would like to seek out an independent assessment and obtain legal advice so that we can pursue this further, potentially needing to raise funds via a gofundme This isn't something I've taken lightly and it's been given a great deal of thought, I appreciate times are tough for everyone and I won't be creating anything until I'm certain of the process/costs involved But if anyone would like to continue to support her journey, her freedom and her future, please continue to share/spread awareness There are genuine dangerous dogs of all breeds out there, but this dog is not one. Sage is a puppy with a sad past that's working towards a bright future, she's calm, neutral, well trained, well rounded and human and dog social, she thrives in all environments and deserves to continue to do so.
