Don’t forget to grab a few festive treats from the bakery too. #HalloweenWithHyVee #HyVeePartner Here’s the recipe for the Jalapeño Popper Cheese Ball I made with @hyvee branded products! 16 ounces Cream Cheese - softened 4 Tablespoons Sour Cream 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder 2 Large Jalapeños* - seeds/stems removed, finely chopped 2 Cups Shredded Sharp Cheddar (reserve one cup for coating) 3 Strips Cooked Bacon - chopped Salt/Pepper - to taste** Stem from a bell pepper Using hand mixer, mix cream cheese and sour cream until smooth and fluffy. Add garlic powder, jalapeños, shredded cheese, bacon, salt and pepper. Mix until combined. Using your hands form a ball with the mixture and roll it in the remaining shredded cheddar. Lay two long strips of plastic wrap in an ‘X’ shape on a flat surface. Place ball in plastic. Bring up edges of plastic wrap, close at the top tightening to create the cream cheese ball shape. Using kitchen twine, make a a pumpkin shape by wrapping the ball like a gift twice. Transfer to refrigerator and chill at least 1 hour to firm. Remove from refrigerator and cut strings to unwrap. Easy festive poptarts!! This mini pie mold & cutter set worked SO WELL and you can find them on my Amazon storefront! For the dough, grab some refrigerated pie crust, I used @Pillsbury. One box gave me 4 large poptarts. Preheat oven to 375° F. Cut your shapes with pie molds, cookie cutters or just make traditional rectangles. Brush on an egg wash (1 egg & splash of water beaten together) around the edges of the bottom pastry to help stick the pieces together. Use about 2 tablespoons of filling and then place the top pastry. Use a fork on the edges or your pie mold to close the seams. Bake for 15-18 minutes until lightly golden. Cool & top with icing or eat plain! Did you know you can paint tile? Here’s how! 1. Clean your tile to make sure trim & dust is gone! 2. Use a enamel latex paint (I used @sherwinwilliams Everlast Satin Enable Tintable Latex Exterior Paint + Primer) 3. I painted everything, including the grout, with my white first. Mine needed 3 coats.
