Sailing across the ‘Dangerous middle’ between French Polynesia and Samoa. This was one of the rougher parts of our Pacific crossing as we had a lot of rain, and at times, a lot of wind too. A rough start to the day in the middle of the Pacific. These line squalls are common throughout the Pacific, and they are basically like mini-storms that bring a lot of wind and rain, and often big waves too. Not what you want to see at nightime in the middle of the Pacific ocean. We were sailing between French Polynesia and the Cook Islands, and still 300 miles away from land. The wind had been gradually building throughout the night, and at some point I would have to bring the sail in. Unfortunately, I never managed too, as the spinnaker blew out, and there was no way we could repair it, as half of the sail was missing:( #sailaroundtheworld #pacificocean #sailing #adventure #ocean #tiktoktravel #boatlife #fyp #foryou
