Being a high support needs parent aint for the faint hearted, but I wouldn’t change it for the world! 🫶🏼 What a journey it’s been since Jaska was diagnosed with ASDL3 back in 2022. The hardest part was the emotional roller coaster that followed when he was first diagnosed and the relentless advocating to fight for the support he deserves. I’ve had so many messages from fellow Mums saying because of Jassy, they recognised signs and got their child diagnosed. He’s changed me in every way possible and helped other families. What a privilege it is to be your Mummy and see life from your perspective. I was so excited to take Jassy here and have some 1:1 time together before baby girl comes but the experience was tarnished before we even got in ❤️‍🩹 i’m emotional & pregnant I know 🥲 but the receptionists comment just felt so unnecessary in that moment where I was clearly stressed & trying my best. Grateful for the other kind receptionist who went out of her way to hug me and was chatting to Jaska making him excited and us feel welcome, I would’ve left if it wasn’t for her.
