Update from #Gaza. This week, WFP reached northern #Gaza with wheat flour for the first time since the blockade began. 🚨 We continue to call for a safe and unimpeded access to the people of Gaza that desperately need food.

Every day, we stand with the millions forced to flee. We remember that hunger and displacement know no borders - but neither does the resilience of #refugees. 💪🏽 WFP is by refugees’ side — from day one to recovery. 🚨 Millions of Sudanese refugees who have fled to neighbouring countries risk sinking deeper into hunger and malnutrition. WFP quickly mobilized to provide emergency assistance to refugees sheltering in📍seven neighbouring countries: Central African Republic, Chad, Egypt, Ethiopia, Libya, South Sudan, and Uganda. However, critical shortages of funding are forcing cuts to this life-saving assistance, and vulnerable refugee families have nowhere else to turn. WFP is urging the international community to mobilise additional resources to sustain assistance for Sudan’s refugees and the host communities supporting them.

Once home to 16,000 people, Dvorichanske in Ukraine's Kharkiv region now has fewer than 400 residents. Shelling at the frontline is only 7km away.

More than 335,000 people have received WFP emergency assistance after arriving in Tawila, in #Sudan's North Darfur region. More food and nutrition supplies are on the way as the number of people seeking safety climbs.

In #Somalia late-season rains have displaced more families, over 84,000 people are affected. Many have been uprooted multiple times this year, trapped in a cycle of extreme weather and hunger. Learn how WFP is responding 👆
