Today 80-year-old Linwood Riddick graduated from South Carolina State University with a BA in Music. Mr. Riddick put his college education on hold to serve   in the military and at that time  segregation also present challenges. He made a promise to himself that he WAS gonna walk across the stage before he left this earth. Rivet skal och saft från 2 lime
1 tsk vaniljpasta (eller fröna från 1 vaniljstång) Till servering: Päroncider
Färsk mynta Instruktioner: Soppa: Tärna cirka 200 ml av vattenmelonen och ställ i kylen tills det är dags att servera.
Skär resten av vattenmelonen i bitar och lägg i en blender.
Koka upp vitt vin, socker och vanilj i en kastrull tills sockret löst sig, men inte längre. Låt blandningen svalna till rumstemperatur.
Häll den avsvalnade vinblandningen i blendern och mixa till en slät soppa.
Häll upp i serveringsskålar och ställ i frysen tills soppan är precis frusen i kanterna. Servering:Toppa soppan med de kylda vattenmelonbitarna och hackad färsk mynta.
Häll i en skvätt päroncider för en pärlande effekt och servera genast – allra helst en riktigt varm sommardag.
